Authentic Lives

I get it. I think I finally get it. ...because really, this much nonsensical garbage about private behavior and marriages that will not affect anyone else, makes no sense. Sin or not. All the lies. No. No preacher will ever be forced to marry someone against their own conscience. Nope. It's not about any of that. Do they really fear that gay marriage will make everyone gay? Nah. I hope they are not all that stupid.

Gays have always been here. Always. ...and in the past, we hid it. We either married people we could, at least, tolerate or maybe even love... Or we've been the spinster or the unmarried uncle...or whatever. We have lived fake lives for centuries.

...and now we say...not any more. This is my life and I want to be happy. It may and probably is, the only life I will have. It is mine. In Walden, Thoreau said something about people leading  lives of quiet desperation. That describes the gay life of the past, quite well. Can you imagine?

These religionists can and that is exactly what they are afraid of. If gays no longer live a life not their own and if gays are going to be happy, married and guilt be damned.... Oh no. Straight people might want to, too. That's it. I get it. 

All those women married to men who smack them around or demean them, or just do nothing for them, thinking they have made a noble sacrifice...for the kids. ...and all those men, married to the the women they don't want, working jobs they really hate, keeping hours that make them weep, thinking they have made the noble sacrifice....for the kids. They might all wake up and realize they are just teaching their kids a miserable lie and that people should really really be...with who they want to be with.

They told me to get to know the other patients. I was scared. Not of the patients, just the whole idea. I wondered what my friends at home were doing. I wondered if the other patients would like me.

Out of the blue, running up and grabbing my arm, dragging me to the side of the room, away from all the others, a Black girl, about 13, Deborah, a schizophrenic, whispered in my ear:

"THEY will tell you it is all about Black and White. The world. The problems. ...but it isn't. It's about who has the key. Don't let them trick you." As I got older I realized it is usually the white person who has the key but still, that stuck with me forever and it, too, is true.

Deborah and I became good friends and stayed friends even after we left the hospital. She was the first person I ever did acid with. ...but then her parents took her away. They moved to another state and I never saw her or heard from her again.

It really is about who has the key. ...the two inches of metal. That is all that separates Them from Us.

haha....I just found this in my blog. oops. Evidently now....09/28/2020....isn't the first time I have been suspended from FB for a month...  Damn.  ...JL

"Friends on Facebook are asking why I was suspended for 30 days.  I cannot answer them on Facebook and would not if I could because there is obviously someone NOT trustworthy reading my page.  An enemy.

I posted one of Facebook's new Albums and filled it with my favorite pictures of the Obamas and I captioned with, "Haha white trash rightwingers.  You will never have anyone this good."

In less than ten minutes I was suspended.  Facebook did not accidentally catch me.  Someone turned me in.  I didn't even know I had done anything wrong.  It was on MY page.  I was not directing it at any individual person by name.  I was not fighting with someone and it wasn't even cussing.  Facebook told me that was the post.  They do let you know.

I know that "white trash" is classist.  I have admonished people for using it.  Still, it does not have the sting nor the power of the "n" word because WHITE people.....!!!!  Jeez, sensitive hick monsters.  Fuck you.

30 fucking days.  Facebook allows Aryan supremacists to have pages.  They have fucking Nazis on Facebook and I got a maximum suspension for "white trash". 

I always say that paranoia requires a certain amount of vanity but maybe not sometimes.  3/4 of the things I see on Facebook are worse than what I said.

Homeless and Crazy

I want to preface this with, I 100% support masks and social distancing.  I am a liberal.  I believe in science.  I am only posting about some of the real problems that need to be dealt with around the pandemic, not the made up right-wing problems.  (Right-wing asthma patients claiming they cannot breathe with the masks, are blatant flagrant liars.  It is usually people with asthma, like me for instance, that use the masks already, on occasion.  Occasions like high ozone days, high pollen days, high pollution days.  Right-wingers are such fucking liars.)

I worry all the time about the homeless because I used to be one.....and patients in the state hospital because I used to be one.  This could kill all of them.   It is not easy to make mentally ill homeless people do things.  These masks probably scare the crap out of some of the mental patients.  THIS is why I am so sad.  I worry about them so much.  There is a tent city right under IH35 about a mile from us. 

Can you imagine being schizophrenic and suddenly everyone shows up wearing masks and being told people can't be near other people because.....VIRUS.  I think about this all the time.

Children In Cages

Rightwingers, these children we have separated from their families and tossed in cages....they are going to be PTSD for the rest of their lives.

Some will get better. Many will get better. They will always carry some sadness but they will be able to live a decent life, have a home, have a family, be OK.

Some won't get much better, will always be depressed, alcoholic, drug addicted, jobless, maybe homeless, sad forever.

Some will never get any better at all, will get much worse and they will come back and get you. They will make you cry, make you beg, burn your house down, steal your stuff, rape your women, kill your children.

That's what happens sometimes, when you traumatize someone so badly they BREAK.

I do not support this behavior. I do not want this behavior. I am not gloating about this. I am just telling you what sometimes happens when you break tiny people, when you make them scream and cry, terrified, lonely and reaching out for a mother who is no longer there.

River, Poop, Rain

I never wax scatological. I am not 8. ... and I never complain about our animals...

BUT....

River is refusing to poop because it is sprinkling outside. She started to squat, the wind blew a little rain on her punkin head and she jumped and ran to the door.

We had the following conversation:

Me: River, you have not pooped since yesterday evening. It is time.

River: Bradley, the dumb cat, poops in a box INDOORS. You and my other mom, go to that room you call a bathroom. I have two moms. ME?! I am supposed to poop in the god damned rain?! In what world is that fair?!

Me: River, you are literally a wolf. That is why they don't consider wolf/dog puppies true hybrids. YOU ARE LITERALLY A WOLF... POOP! ...and cussing is unbecoming in a dog.

Rape

Truthfully, the rape info about Kirk Douglas was never more than a rumor. Natalie Wood never used his name. She only hinted. There is only circumstantial evidence.

However, in the era of Hollywood when he was most popular, sexual assault was commonplace. THAT is not enough to hang a man who might be innocent but to get angry at women for jumping on it means you do not get it.

Do you have ANY idea how prevalent rape is? Do you? According to the CDC, one in five women and one in seventy men have REPORTED being raped. Most of the men who have been raped were also raped by men. Kevin Spacey, go hang yourself.

...and the MAJORITY of rapes are NOT reported.

So, Kirk may well be innocent and just because he is from the era in Hollywood when this was commonplace does not make him guilty. ....and accusing an innocent man can devastate their life BUT rape is commonplace and it ALWAYS devastates the woman. Her prison is forever. The average prison sentence for a rapist is 8 years. The singer and actress, Connie Francis barely ever left her home again after being raped in an elevator.

About 13% of rape victims will attempt suicide.

Suicide attempts may occur years after the rape.

Only 5-8% of rape accusations are false.

Take a look at people's responses to the MeToo movement.

So, my thoughts about Dead Kirk are not going to harm him. "He's dead, Jim..." A false rape accusation, as I said, can devastate a man's life but false accusations are RARE and trying to use the possibility that he is completely innocent to demean rape victims and the MeToo movement when rape always devastates a woman's life and it's NOT RARE.. One more thing. If you do not think I understand the horror of being falsely accused of something, you don't know me at all. I have a history of alcoholism and mental illness. I have been falsely accused of things I did not do, many times and even by friends and lovers. Not rape, of course but some pretty bad shit.
